Creator Program
Small streamers are welcome. If you stream BagelSMP on Twitch with around 5 to 50 viewers, you can become a BagelSMP-Market creator with your own creator code. The rules are fixed numbers, and the site measures them for you.
Who it is for
Twitch streamers who play on BagelSMP and have a small but real audience. You need a verified Minecraft account on this site and a Twitch channel. Big channels are welcome too, they just talk to us directly.
Twitch only for now. Detecting YouTube live streams costs too much of the YouTube API quota to do it every few minutes.
The rules, every calendar month
All three have to be met in a month. Months are UTC calendar months, so everybody is measured on the same clock.
At least 20 h of BagelSMP stream time.
At least 8 days with 60 min or more of BagelSMP stream time.
At least 5 average viewers during your BagelSMP streams.
Only stream time with BagelSMP in the title counts. "BagelSMP", "Bagel SMP" and "bagelsmp.com" all work. The word "bagel" alone does not.
How we measure
- Every 5 minutes the site asks Twitch which tracked channels are live, with their title, category and viewer count.
- Stream time runs from the start time Twitch reports to the last time we saw you live. BagelSMP time is the share of those checks that had BagelSMP in the title.
- Average viewers are the average of all checks during your BagelSMP streams.
- When you apply, your past broadcasts (VODs) of this and last month are added so you do not start at zero. They count for time and days but have no viewer numbers.
Bigger than 50 viewers?
If your average over the last 30 days is above 50 viewers, you are bigger than this program. Contact us directly and we set you up: Joel9277 on Discord.
Questions
What do I get as a creator?
Your own creator code. Players who enter it support you, and you earn a share of the fees from their trades on the market. Your dashboard shows supporters, earnings and your stream time.
Do I become a creator automatically when I meet the rules?
No. Meeting the rules gets your application reviewed. The team checks that the channel is really yours and then sets up your creator code.
What happens after I am accepted?
Program creators are expected to keep meeting the rules. Your dashboard shows every month how you are doing.
Can I see my numbers live?
Yes. In My Account under Creator Code you see this month's progress for every rule, the days left and your latest streams.
My stream is not showing up.
Check that the Twitch username in your application is right and that your title mentions BagelSMP. New streams appear within about 5 minutes.
